There are three main ways to use essential oils –
TOPICALLY Many essential oils can be applied directly to the skin, either neat (with no dilution) or diluted (with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil). Applying oils on location can be the best way to target area in need.
AROMATICALLY Research shows that the pure constituents in therapeutic grade essential oils stimulate olfactory receptors and activate regions in the brains limbic system associated with memory, emotion and consciousness. Simply inhaling a certain oil can ease daily stressors and occasional emotional ups and downs. The two most popular ways are inhalation & diffusing. To inhale, place 1-2 drops of your chosen oil into your palms with a few drops of carrier oil, cup your hands over your nose and mouth, close your eyes and inhale slowly. Young Living diffusers propel essential oil molecules into the air, where they stay long after the diffuser turns off. Certain oils can help purify the air, while others may help boost your energy, help increase focus or promote a more restful sleep.
INTERNALLY Not all oils should be used internally. In fact, most essential oils that you find at a health food store say, “Not for Internal Use” right on the bottle. Often other essential oils are cut with toxic chemical fillers and still labeled as “100% Pure” so always research your essential oil company. Young Living has a Seed to Seal process, which ensures the precise oversight of their oils from beginning to end. There is never anything added or taken away from Young Living oils, ad you can be assured the ingredients listed on the bottle are the only ingredients inside. Young Living oils labeled as Vitality can be added to a glass of water, spoonful of honey, capsule, or dropped directly into your mouth. The top two options are capsule or in a glass of water.
