Daily Checklist for Etsy Shop Owners

I'm sitting here reflecting on the past 7 months & what we have done to streamline our biz by making a daily task list. There are also things that we do each week & month to help out, but for now, we will stick with daily.

#1 - Instagram Post

Make sure you vary your posts between products, people repping your products, your FACE, & things you love. No one wants a whole feed of just your staged product photos.

#2 - Instagram Stories

SHOW UP on your stories, friend. Your followers want to see your face. They want to get to know you. They want to know the face besides the products. So share your products, share what you are doing on the daily & share other peoples posts too (we love to cheer each other on!).

#3 - Check Instagram Messages & Etsy Shop Convos

People expect you to respond quickly. In a world of instant gratification (hello, Amazon prime), we need to be getting back to our customers quickly. Maximum responding time should be 24 hours, but you should aim for 8-12 hours, if not less. We try to always check on our lunch break and then sporadically throughout the day so it shouldn't be more than 8 hours for us (unless its over night).

#4 - Check Etsy shop orders (& ship when necessary)

We spend a little bit of time most evenings either making products, shipping products or at least checking on our orders & seeing if there is anything we need to know or work on. We usually add orders to a check list so that we can work on them when we have time & know exactly what we need to do when we have a little bit of time to work on it.

#5 - Pin Products to Pinterest

Pinterest is somewhere that people sit and just scroll mindlessly. Let's make sure that they scroll past your products. Spend 5-10 minutes a day pinning a few of your images to different boards. Make sure to take a few pictures of each of your products so that there are different images to pin.

That's about all that we do basically every day to keep our products in our customers view & to make sure that our shop is running smooth. Is there anything that you would add to this list? Where can you display a list like this to make sure that you do these things every day?

Happy Shop Running,

Marc & Barb
