Now that Halloween has passed, is it appropriate to say Merry Christmas, yet? All I'm saying is that I started playing Christmas music & am diffusing all the Christmas Spirit (My fav Young Living Essential Oil)!
I am not one to skip Thanksgiving & boy am I a celebrator (is that even a word? idk) of thankfulness & gratitude. My husband & I started doing this gratitude practice where we tell each other 3 things we are grateful for each day && we don't allow repeats. It's literally amazing to see how you start looking for things to be thankful for each day! It is also a really fun few minutes to share with my husband each evening.
Anyways, back to Christmas. The Christmas decor in almost every store has been STRESSING ME OUT up until today, but it did get me thinking - when do you start thinking about Christmas presents? Now my family is really into Black Friday shopping. There isn't much that we actually go for each year, but we just love to go out with all the crazies and have a good time.
Hubs & I are also pretty budget conscious. While we don't follow a strict budget, we don't like to be in debt and we like to save a little bit of money in October, November & December to pay for gifts & parties. We don't like to try and find all the money in some paycheck when the money isn't really there.
That being said, I am starting to plan out Christmas presents a little bit because I don't like to be buying presents last minute. My list of people to buy for has grown with the addition of my in laws and then throwing in a new sister in law & all the Christmas parties we go to. I needed somewhere to write this all down and keep track of spending. So I created a Christmas present tracker to write down all of the people I need to buy for & my ideas for them & our budget for each person. This also helps with our ability to keep Christmas in budget because we can see how much we plan to spend and aim to stay within those means. Anyways, if you are like me & need to write it down & see a list & plan out gifts, you can download this digital planning tool or print out the PDF and use a paper copy. Just make sure you take a picture of it and save it somewhere that those snoopy eyes won't see!
Alright! That's all I have for you today. Hope your holiday season is full of friend, family & cheer.
Blessings,
Marc
