Overall, I would say we've been handling things pretty well around here the last month or so, BUT this week we were a little down in the dumps. We couldn't quite put our fingers on it at first. I think we were just a little bit lonely. Then we found out the Vintage Market we were slated to attend in May has been cancelled.
Needless to say, we weren't feeling our best. Sometimes when we get to this point we need someone to drag us out of it, but sometimes we just need someone to say "it's okay" to feel down. So I guess I'm here to do both of those things for you today.
Take what you need and leave what you don't...
It is OKAY to feel down. It is okay to be disappointed that things you were looking forward to have been cancelled, changed or undone in some way. It is okay to have hard days and bad days. It is okay to complain. It's okay to feel sad and lonely.
Get up early. Change the pace. Mix up your schedule. Do something that always makes you happy. Bake banana bread. Call your mom, grandma, sister, friend. Tell someone how you're feeling. Read a book. Watch a Hallmark movie. Fake it 'till you make it. Have a dance party. Smile (even if you don't feel like it). Remember that tomorrow is a new day. This too shall pass.
Wherever you are today...you are SEEN, KNOWN, LOVED. Please don't feel alone.
XOXO,
Marc & Barb
