We have been talking a lot to each other about how we can work toward creating a business model that is sustainable for us (in terms of longevity) and for the Earth (in terms of conscious living).
We already use 100% organic cotton for our reusable bags, but we are introducing a new line of "up-cycled" scrunchies! These scrunchies will be made from materials rescued from landfill and will have quite a story to tell. These scrunchies will launch in the middle of August! We are also launching a new line of bag designs on August 1st that are dedicated to raising awareness about the "greener" things in life! You'll find bags that say, "Eat more plants," "Plant mom things," "Less scrolling, more exploring," and "Green is the new everything." We think you are going to love them!
ECO-Friendly Living Tips:
1) Use your freezer: store bread ends in the freezer until you have a need for croutons or bread crumbs, then just pull it out to defrost and use it to make your own OR freeze almond milk or regular milk in an ice tray before you go out of town (to save it from going bad) and use it later in a smoothie or thaw it to use in a recipe.
2) Make "easier" swaps to start your journey (like switching to a stylish reusable shopping bag instead of using the plastic ones at the store, or saying "no straw please" at a restaurant) and then progress from there
3) Look at your trash: see what you are throwing away each day/week and then see if there is a way to replace that item with a reusable version
4) Organize a clothes swap: get together with your gal pals and each bring 5-10 items from your closet that you aren't wearing. Have drinks and snacks and try each other's clothes. Everyone gets a few good laughs, food in their belly and a couple of new-to-me clothing items && it's waste free!
